Charity and Donations during the year 2025-2026
Northern Tamil Association (NTA) UK was able to raise funds through 10K run and support deserving Organisations and people going through difficulties.
1. Run for Tamil Culture, Manchester, UK
- The primary goal of this initiative was to raise awareness and vital funds to support the NTA’s ongoing mission — preserving the richness of the Tamil language and cultural heritage across the United Kingdom, and contributing to charitable causes both locally and globally.
2. Cancer Aid For North/East (Sri Lanka / Jaffna) CANE UK:
- Cane UK Provides medical, financial and other assistance for cancer patients with an advanced stage of illness and who ideally needs to be cared in a hospice or at home and not in a hospital. Donated £1000 through Dr. Kamala Arunasalam - Chairman
3. Caudwell International Children’s Centre UK, Newcastle-under-Lyme:
- Caudwell children ensure that every disabled and neurodivergent child has the chance to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential, on their own terms irrespective of their disabilities. Donated £1000 through Clare Wheaton - SME Partnership Manager.
4. Idhayangal Charitable Trust, Coimbatore, India:
- Idhayangal Charitable Trust, based in Coimbatore, supports underprivileged children living with Type 1 diabetes. By providing insulin, medical care, and essential support, the Trust gives these children more than treatment — it gives hope. Hope to live, to dream, and to build a healthier future. 5. Govt Hr Sec School, R.S.Mangalam, Ramnad District, India:
- Government Higher Secondary School, R.S. Mangalam, Ramnad district, serves over 300 students who once lacked basic computer and printing access. With these facilities now available, students can complete and print their work within the school itself. This has made a significant difference, especially for those preparing for public exams.
