நண்பு என்னும் நாடாச் சிறப்பு
அன்பு பிறரிடம் பற்றுள்ளம் கொள்ளச் செய்யும்; அந்த உள்ளம், நட்பு எனும் பெருஞ்சிறப்பை உருவாக்கும்
பல ஆயிரம் மைல் கடந்து இங்கிலாந்து மண்ணில் வாழ்ந்து தமிழ் மக்கள் ஒன்று கூடி சங்கம் அமைத்து அதன் வாயிலாக மக்களை ஒன்று படுத்தி மேடை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தி, உறுப்பினர் சேர்க்கையை பெருக்கி இன்று இந்த மேன்மையான நிலையை எட்டியிருப்பது தன்னலம் கருதாத தமிழ் போற்றிய தன்னார்வலர்களால் என்றால் அது மிகை ஆகாது. ஒவ்வொரு நிகழ்வுக்கும் தம் பெயர் கூட அறிவிக்காமல் உழைத்து தமிழர் ஒற்றுமை வளர்த்த உத்தமர் ஏராளம்.
38 வருட மதிப்பு மிக்க வட தமிழ் சங்கத்தின் தலைமை பொறுப்பு ஏற்பதில் பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன். நாம் துவங்க இருக்கும் புதிய பயணம் நம் தமிழ் சமூகத்தின் சங்கமம், ஒத்துழைப்பு, திறன் பகிர்வு மற்றும் சமூக ஈடுபாட்டை மேலும் செழிப்புற செய்யும் என நம்புகிறேன். தற்போதைய நிர்வாக குழு மிகவும் முற்போக்கு சிந்தனையும் , ஆற்றல் மிக்கதாகவும் உள்ளது. இத்தகைய குழுவுடன் பணிபுரிவதில் நான் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறேன்.

தீபாவளி நிகழ்ச்சிகள்
எங்கள் தீபாவளி கொண்டாட்டம் 2024 நவம்பர் 9 ஆம் தேதி மான்செஸ்டரில் உள்ள வ்ய்தீன்ஷாவ் போரும் (Wythensawe Forum) மண்டபத்தில் நடைபெறும். எங்கள் வருடாந்திர மின் இதழான தென்றலுக்கான பதிவுகளுக்கான விவரங்கள் அறிவிக்கப்படும். பத்து மண்டலங்களுக்கான இசை,நடனம், நாடக போட்டிகள் மற்றும் விருந்து கலைநிகழ்ச்சிகள் அன்று நடை பெரும்.
பேச்சுப் போட்டிகள்
வட தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் ஏற்பாட்டிலான பேச்சுப் போட்டிகளை 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் மாதத்தில் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம். ஐக்கிய ராஜ்ஜியத்தில் வாழும் தமிழ்ப் பள்ளிப் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக, தொடர்ந்து ஆறாவது ஆண்டாக நமது சங்கத்தால் இந்த பேச்சுப் போட்டி நடத்தப்படவிருக்கிறது. நம் சங்கத் துணைத் தலைவர் திரு. ஜோசப் கருணா அவர்கள் இந்தப் பேச்சுப் போட்டியைப் பொறுப்பேற்று நடத்துகிறார். உங்கள் இருப்பிடம் சார்ந்த தமிழ்ப் பள்ளிகளில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களை இந்தப் போட்டிகளில் கலந்து கொள்ளுமாறு ஊக்கம் அளித்திட அன்பு கூர்ந்து வேண்டுகின்றேன்.
தமிழ்ப் புத்தாண்டு இன்னிசை நிகழ்ச்சி:
2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ்ப் புத்தாண்டு தின விழாவை ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் கொண்டாடுவது என்று தற்காலிகமாக முடிவு செய்துள்ளோம். அந்த விழா நாளில், சென்னையிலிருந்து கலைஞர்கள் வருகைதந்து பங்கு கொள்வர். பல்வகைக் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகளும் வேடிக்கை நிகழ்ச்சிகளும் இனிதே நடைபெறும்.
நிர்வாக குழு பொதுகூட்டம்
வட தமிழ் சங்கத்தின் நிர்வாக உறுப்பினர்கள் கூட்டம் ஜூன் மாதம் 23ஆம் தேதி நடைபெற்றது.

President Message

My warm wishes to the Tamil hearts living in England. It is not an exaggeration to say that the Tamil people, having crossed thousands of miles to live on English soil, have come together to form an association through which they unite people, conduct stage events, increase membership and have reached this esteemed position today due to selfless Tamil-loving volunteers. There are numerous noble individuals who have worked for each event without even announcing their names, fostering Tamil unity.
I am very happy to take on the leadership role of the respected North Tamil Association, which has 38 years of esteem service. I believe that the new journey we are about to begin will further enrich the convergence, cooperation, skill-sharing, and social engagement for our Tamil community. The current administrative team is very progressive and capable with whom I am very pleased to be a part of.

As with every year, we have the exciting line up of events planned for this year starting with Deepavali kondattam on the 9th November 2024 at Wythenshaw Forum Hall.
Details for entries for our annual e-magazine, Thendral, will be available soon. Pechu potti is also being planned during December 2024, It will be hosted by our VP Mr J Karuna who will release the details soon.Please encourage all children in your regions to participate and contribute for the success.
We shall, in time honoured tradition, host a music event around Tamil New Year in April 2025, the details of which are being worked out. We completed our annual committee meeting on 23rd June 2024.

Deepavali Kondattam 2024
Deepavali along with 38th Year celebration is planned for Saturday, 4th November at Wythenshawe
Forum Hall, Manchester.
The format would be the same as previous year’s events, regional competitions for children and

Public Speaking (Pechu potti) Event
NTA “பேச்சுப்போட்டி” is planned for Decemeber 2024. This will be the sixth year of public speaking competition for Tamil school students in the UK.

Tamil New Year concert
The 2025 Tamil New Year function has been provisionally scheduled for April 2025.
There will be a team of musicians from Tamil Nadu entertaining with their amazing music
